FOCUS's national ministry supports programs for independent school students and faculty. We invite members of the academic, religious, artistic, athletic and business world to address students....so that they might hear how people of faith apply Christian principles and beliefs to their
daily lives.

National Programs

We have programs throughout the school year in all of our regions. The majority of our summer programs take place on the
FOCUS property on Martha’s Vineyard, as well as other
select locations in New England. Over the Christmas holiday, we have the Winter House Parties, two for upper school students and one for middle school students.

Areas

In the different areas, FOCUS staff are welcomed onto the school campuses to hold regular or special meetings that best help the educators address their student’s religious and spiritual questions. Furthermore, there are weekly and monthly programs designed to inform and present students from various schools with relevant information regarding the Christian faith. We provide fun opportunities for independent school students to explore the Christian faith in a non-coercive context.

Faculty Resources
FOCUS’s Faculty Resources is a program dedicated to teachers, administrators, and staff in independent schools.  Through a regular portfolio of programs and events in the FOCUS regions and areas, school visits, and personal friendships, we sponsor opportunities for professional development, seek to encourage spiritual growth, and offer practical support for the varied ministries of chaplains and other faculty involved in the spiritual life of their schools.

Woody Bowman is the Coordinator for Faculty Resources and may be contacted at wbowman@infocus.org, (508) 693-1369, or FOCUS, PO Box 638, West Tisbury, MA 02575.
